Vice Chairman of BANI Arbitration Center, Huala Adolf, participated actively in the Workshop and Study of Enhancing the APEC Collaborative Framework and Use of ODR, in Tokyo, Japan. The Objectives of the event are as follows.

BANI's participation in this workshop was at the invitation of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Deputy for Investment Economic Cooperation Coordination.

The Workshop and Study will seek to (1) develop means to improve the implementation of the APEC ODR Collaborative Framework (such as by enhancing enforcement of awards through alternate means), (2) review the benefits for an economy it opts into the Framework, (3) identify dispute resolution service providers, including from economies that have not opted into the Framework to gauge their potential interest in partnering with APEC, (4) assist in APEC ODR partnering provider capacity building, (5) develop strategies with partnering providers, ABAC and ASEAN to encourage APEC businesses (including MSMEs) to use ODR through the APEC-listed ODR providers, and (6) promote the overall use of ODR in the private and public sectors.
